Emily C., good correction on the start/stop codons. The only other thing missing was the random bases at the beginning and end to make your decoder look for the start/stop codons.
Emily S, the sentence works if you add the correct endings as permitted in the assignment.
Here is my decode (using your corrected code):
DNA: TACACACAGAGTCATTCAGACGCTAGGCGAATC RNA: AUGUGUGUCUCAGUAAGUCUGCGAUCCGCUUAG Strand: AUG UGU GUC UCA GUA AGU CUG CGA UCC GCU UAG [start] Before me and you, ape(s) were evolve(ing) into us. [stop]
what I got was:
ReplyDelete"Stop Codon Before me and you Ape were evolve into us"
Only problem I believe is you started with a Stop Condon unless you just transcribed it wrong.
yea i did put stop codon in front on accident. But you didn't change the words like you were supposed to into the correct grammar.
ReplyDeleteBefore me and you Apes were evolving into us.
so i need to tweek mine a bit.
TACACACAGAGTCATTCAGACGCTAGGCGAATC
Overall, good on both parts.
